Fortunate Youth recently toured nationwide with The Expendables and Tribal Seeds propelling them to be leading the way as THE newest up and coming reggae act in the country. Combining rootsy vibes and unique bass lines, the talented 7-piece masterminds bring more fire to the stage than ever before. With their high energy approach and positive stage presence they provide an unforgettable show to every music fan. Upon releasing their full-length album they quickly rose to #2 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and also locked in a #13 position on Billboard Top 100 Reggae Albums. Sweetwine Entertainment Group is thrilled to be starting our sixth year in business as of January 2012. And with a BANG! no less…

After a sold out NYE show in Ft. Collins, CO with our Artists The Motet and Euforquestra, the momentum at SEG and with our clients does not seem to be slowing down any time soon. New to the roster, Shook Twins are embarking on their “Ski Tour 2012” in January and Feb and keep your eyes out for Reed Foehl performing out East this Spring. Euforquestra will be touring heavy throughout 2012 and be sure to check out their very own festival this Summer, Camp Euforia, now in its 9^th year and counting! Halloween brought out another outstanding, unique, and critically acclaimed sold out run of shows for The Motet, this time featuring the songs of the Grateful Dead titled appropriately, “Funk is Dead”, pre-selling over 4000 + tickets. The Motet will be taking their show on the road this Spring (both East and West coast dates) and to festivals across the country this Summer. Rootz Underground, the “new sound” Kingston, Jamaica Reggae Artist, will be touring this Spring through Colorado and out West and will be able to be seen at Festivals across the country and world throughout the year. SEG is also excited to bring onto the roster, the creators of Ska music and legends through the reggae world, The Skatalites.

So many more great artists on our roster will be on the road in 2012: Les Nubians, Carbon Choir, Juno What?!, The Burned, Will Bernard Trio and more!

There is a big buzz at SEG headquarters right now! As of today, we have signed yet another Legendary, Multi-Grammy nominated and incredibly influential artist, THE SKATALITES for exclusive North American representation! The Skatalites are the originators of SKA and essentially influenced many styles of music such as Reggae, Rock-Steady, Dub etc. Now in their 48th year in the industry there are no signs of the band slowing down. Although there have been several original members that have passed on to the musical heavens, The Skatalites still boast an incredible line up of musicians including some originals. Their show is high energy and if you have never been to a Ska show by the Skatalites, you need not miss another shot! We will deliver this awesome experience to YOU in 2012!!! We are thrilled to introduce Phil Einsohn as a new full time booking agent and manager at Sweetwine Entertainment Group. Phil has many years of experience in the music industry with numerous successes and a passion for music that drives it all. He is best known for his work as the agent for Elephant Revival, a band that has risen quickly on a national level. Along with his impeccable booking and management skills, Phil brings with him two unique and successful artists to join the SEG Roster: Shook Twins and Reed Foehl. SEG is excited to welcome them as well.

Phil is, without a doubt, a great fit to the Sweetwine Group family and we look forward to what is to come.

The Motet sells out Halloween! (Again) + New show added

Another year in the history books! The Motet’s annual tradition of performing another artist’s music over the course of Halloween weekend is almost here. The difference: this year both the Ogden Theatre (1700 capacity) & the Boulder Theater (1100 capacity) have both sold out in advance roughly 2 weeks prior to the shows. The demand is so great that a fourth surprise pop up show has been added for Sunday Oct 30 at the Bluebird Theater in Denver.

This year, the theme “Funk is Dead” – The Motet performing the music of the Grateful Dead is really raising the bar and attracting people from all over the country and of course, Colorado! We could not be more thrilled for the guys and cannot wait to get out and “Dance our asses off”!

This band is reminiscent of days past in the Reggae world however, they bring a totally new flavor, style and excitement to the stage and to their recordings. You MUST see this band LIVE! New Signing: The Burned!!

This has been a busy month of additions and THE BURNED have us quite excited over here. You may remember Kurt Baumann as the lead singer from the popular touring Trance / Dance band, Kan’nal. Since then, Kurt has relocated to the musically rich city of Austin TX and has launched his solo career with an incredible self titled debut album, “The Burned”, which is all about the Rock / Alt. Rock vibe. Guided by a very experienced management team, The Burned is already the #3 spin at Seattle’s AAA radio station KMTT (tied with Adele) and #1 spin in Santa Fe KBAC station. To add to the list, the band is currently in rotation at over 30 AAA radio stations nationwide and their music has already been featured on network TV and Cable such as ABC, NBC, CW Network and STARZ to name a few. To say the least, The Burned are certainly making a splash with the networks, music supervisors, radio stations and now on to taking the show on the road! Be on the lookout for upcoming promotional tours and certainly a lot of buzz around these guys! The band features a stellar line up of musicians including Kurt Baumann, Jonny Jyemo, Ron Agabao, Arturo Eduardo Torres, Norm Bergeron, Joseph Santori & Katharine Gray.

Juno What?! joins the SEG family

SEG is excited to announce the addition of Juno What?! to our exclusive roster of touring artists. The last couple years have proved to be essential for Juno What making a splash on the national touring circuit, and they have done just that. To date, Juno What has packed venues in the Bay Area, Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and, of course, in their home state of Colorado. The band consists of Joey Porter (keyboards, talk box) and Dave Watts (drums, samples), both from the Motet, and Steve Watkins (keyboards, talk box, bass). This core group is often augmented by special guests taken from the best of the gigging groups on the scene (including founding member Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic). These musicians have gathered their collective talents to focus on this mission of making the world a better place…….to dance!

Trace Bundy’s European Tour and more….

Trace Bundy has now performed in 19 countries around the world and counting!
Not to mention, he currently is resting at a cool 18.6 Million views on Youtube! This summer Trace traveled to Europe and enjoyed many successful performances to both new and returning fans alike. Some of the SOLD OUT shows included stops in Edinburgh, Budapest as well as very packed houses (very close to sell outs) in London and Paris! We (SEG) could not be happier to be working with Trace and aiding in his career as we watch him climb the ladder.

Trace is now home in Colorado for a few days and enjoying time with his 8 month old son, Sawyer and his lovely wife. But for Trace, soon he will be back at it as his schedule is filling very fast for the rest of 2011 and well into 2012. Keep a look out for a late September, early October tour as Trace gets ready to play more US dates starting in Austin TX and ending in Grand Rapids MI. Carbon Choir is no exception and have recently completed their campaign and raised more than their original set goal all by the generous support of their fan-base .
